Trivia will cover topics like music, movies & TV, celebrities, sports, food, games, and more. Join the Snakes & Lattes family, impress your friends with your knowledge, and have a lot of fun!

Important informations:

  • Tickets are priced and sold by table + Eventbrite fees and tax

  • Each team only needs to purchase one table that fits their team size (i.e. If buy a 4-person table, that team may only have 4 or fewer members)

This month, Freestyle Socials "Game On!" explores using "gamification" to control our behaviour.

For $500 a day, would you quit the internet for a year?

Ya know, quit scrolling Tik Tok and maybe get a few more steps in every day. You'd have to give up your Duolingo streak but you'd prolly save money on your uber eats bill? Swipe right?

Tinder, Starbucks, social media giants, etc. gamify experiences to nudge us into comin' back again and again. For better or worse, these little nudges have big consequences on our behaviours and thinking in ways we're probably too busy doom scrolling to notice.

"Game On!" asks about this with questions like:

  • Would you go to a gym where ghosts possess you and work out on your behalf?

  • Was the "Like" button's invention good for society?

  • Does Tinder help you find love?

Calling all Dungeons & Dragons adventurers! We’re in need of assistance in the tavern Snakes & Lattes Midtown. Applicants can expect exploration, treasures, and occasional (possibly frequent) dangers. No experience necessary. Training provided! It's the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of tabletop roleplaying

- What is Dungeons & Dragons?
Dungeons & Dragons is a RPG (Role Playing Game) where players work together to create a story. Each person acts as a character in the story while the DM (Dungeon Master) acts as the referee and guide. Together, players will solve dilemmas, explore dungeons, find treasure, and sometimes, fight dragons.

Important Details:

  • Tickets are priced and sold by person + Eventbrite fees and tax

  • Up to 6 guests

  • This is a fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons RPG session

  • All players will be taught how to play if they are not already familiar with the game, character sheets are provided for the characters' mechanics, and all other necessary supplies will be on hand

  • The session will lean into either a dungeon crawl, or an exploration of an area, or a more social/skill based series of challenges. All elements of standard play will be present, but the overarching structure will be different from session to session.

  • Sesson will end around 10:30 pm

  • Game Mastered by Changeling Gaming

  • Session will be at our Midtown location (45 Eglinton Ave E, Toronto)
